BACKGROUND
MINISTRY IMPACT
Since the 2nd October until 12th November 2012, more than 800
people from churches, campuses and market places prayed and fasted 40
days.
With our project of church planting called “End to End”, God helped us
to plant more than 93 new churches.
God has done a miracle for the growth of the Student-Led Movement where
we have seen students owning their scope to reach others. From four
campuses where we were present in 2010 and now we have a vibrant
catalytic movement on 15 campuses (with 38 student population centers).
The movement is completely led by students.
We thank the Lord for the great crusade done in
Gisenyi (city boarding with Goma in DRC) one week before the war started
in Goma.
SPIRITUAL BACKGROUND
The
East African Revival began in Rwanda in the 1930s. Sadly the blessing of the revival was lost
and the heritage of tribalism returned. However, today God is doing something
new. According to the testimonies of
senior Christian leaders, the majority of believers are not just “Christian” in
name only, but are committed followers of Christ.
MORE INFORMATION
Rwanda is Africa's most densely
populated country and is trying to overcome the limitations of its
small,
landlocked economy by leveraging regional trade.
The country joined the East African
Community and is aligning its budget, trade, and immigration policies
with its
regional partners.
Many women were widowed by the genocide; others effectively widowed as
their husbands still languish in prison. Between 100,000 and 250,000
were raped, a systematic use of terror that left nearly half of the
victims HIV-positive, psychologically traumatized and socially
stigmatized.
Females tend to have less education and less opportunity for work; as a
result, many have fallen into or been forced into prostitution. Pray
for more ministries to work with these women.
Pray for the Chief of State: President Paul KAGAME (since 22 April 2000).
